Our ancestors have been involved in the sheep industry since the 1890’s. “Camp” used to be a tent, grub boxes, bed springs and a wood stove. While this is still used in some areas, staying in a Timberline Rang Camp™ is sure a lot nicer way to live!
Sheep camps have been built locally since the 1940’s, beginning with the Madsen line. The Olsen Brothers Sheep Camps of the 70’s and 80’s made many new improvements. Wilson Brothers have also made camps since the late 70’s and adapted many of the good characteristics developed by former camp manufacturers. We have done the same but believe you will also notice many additional “little items” that enhance the “sheep-camp” experience. Life on the range is not nearly as rough as it used to be!
Our sheep camps are built by craftsmen with years of experience who also have been influenced by the sheep industry. It mattered not if a family owned sheep, or had simply “gone to the herd” for a dinner of mutton and sour-dough biscuits; camps have a special place in their memories and hearts. Because of those memories our team members take “ownership” in each camp and will tell you they would be pleased to own any camp being produced.
Anymore, sheep camps aren’t just for sheep-men either. Outdoorsman, sportsman, government trappers and just about anyone who wanted an excellent outdoor experience have purchased our camps. As one of our team recently remarked, “This ain’t your Grandpa’s ole camp”.
Our objective is to produce a camp that will be around for generations. We manufacture our camps with the highest quality materials available. Our team takes great pride in their work; and, integrity in every aspect of that work is our team’s goal. Our camps are manufactured to have not only great eye appeal, but more importantly, to withstand the riggers of every day use. When you buy a Timberline Range Camp™, you will own a camp that will bring you and your family years of enjoyment, and the satisfaction of knowing you own the best.
